NEWS FROM SPRINGBORG STUD 2014

May 2014

Now it is time for foals to arrive at our stud! Our first foal has arrived - a nice masculine colt by the famous double Pavo Cup winner Chameur, who has been awarded with 10 for both trot and canter. The mother of the colt, Springborgs Awesome, Elite mare Springborgs Acacie RDH got 9 for her type and in total impression to her licensing. We are extremely pleased with this lovely foal, which already shows a great canter capacity - and then the type is not that bad ;-)

The second foal we got this year is a colt by Blue Hors Hotline out of a Bronze medal mare by Fürst Romancier - Diamond Hit. The colt is named Springborgs Guardian. He is a noble and wel moving guy with a lot of expression.

Now we are back on danish soil again. May Candeloro has done everything above all expectations at the international competition in Saumur, France. The whole set-up was a great experience with the approach that it should be to learn. Candeloro and Kathrine had some really nice tests in the young rider classes.

The first day was in PSG, where the result was 68.2% and first unplaced. The team was 4th in the team competition. The second day was on the indiviudelle class that went in MA2. Here was Candeleoro again really nice and a couple of smaller errors were fixed. The result was again 68.79 and this time a 6th place and a place in the finals in the freestyle - a result which was really beyond all expectations.

The freestyle is relatively new and therefore it is still exciting when it is performed. There was a few minor errors, but ended up with 70.4 percent! It was a great experience to be off by such a large event and to represent Denmark! The fact that it went beyond all expectations, we can only be happy about, and we are already looking forward to next time!

Mar 2014

The most stallion shows all around Europe are already finish. We were very excited to see the stallions that our mares are in foal to, and to see some of the young stallions, who have been licensed in the fall, under sadle. For us it is in fact already now the planning of the next breeding season begins.

We think that it is some exciting breeding combinations that we expect this year. We expect a foal by Charmeur bred on our mare Acacie, which has just been appointed Elite mare, because of her very rideable offsprings. It is a promising combination of dutch Charmeur which is by Florencio I / Jazz combined with the very good type and rideability from the german Rubin-Royal/De Niro blood. Charmeur has won the dutch Pavo-cup both as 4 - and 5-year-old including grade 10 for both trot and canter.

Our lovely mare Givenchy, the mother of the Best Dressage Colt of the Year in Danish Warmblood 2013, we have chosen to use a Jazz son - namely Blue Hors First Choice. Again a super modern and exciting combination of very strong gaits and rideability from the Jazz / Negro blood combined with the safe Donnerhall blood through Diamond Hit. The nobleness is guaranteed by Temple Wind XX on the maternal side of Givenchy, as the degree of improvement of the combination is as much as 36 %.

Our Bronze medal mare Guyana, which is a offspring of Givenchy, we have chosen to combine with Blue Hors Hotline. A combination where we get twice Donnerhal in the offspring, namely in 3. and 5. generation, together with a degree of improvement in the offspring on 30 % . We want a little more frame from this combination, which we believe that Hotline can provide. In addition, Hotline just been appointed Elite Stallion and has had his debut in Grand Prix with very good results .
