This weekend the 7th - 9th September we participated with three horses to the Danish Warmblood Elite Mare Show at Vilhelmsborg. Weparticipated in 2 the years old mare group with Springborgs Acaia (pictured at the top right), which we have sold to Susanne Frederiksen as foal. She really showed promising potential, which also means that we look forward to seeing her with rider on next year.
Saturday evening there was Elite Foal Auction. Springborgs Geronimo (pictured in the middle right) was selected for this. He was sold to professional and serious horse people in Denmark. We are happy about the sale and we are looking forward to follow him in the future.
Sunday went away with the medal aspirants. We participated with Springborgs Guyana (pictured at the bottom right), who were the best 2-years old mare in North Zealand 2011. She was beautifully presented
under saddle by Kathrine Springborg. In the end she was awarded witha well-deserved bronze medal.

The sales horse Springborgs Ackeleje was approved in the RDH class to the licensing in Ringsted 24th June. That means she is approved in the best class and has passed her riding test. She was beautifully ridden by the only 17 years old Kathrine Springborg. Ackeleje got 8 in Walk and 8 for Rideability of both judges and the test rider. Her grading description was: "A long-legged and modern mare with great movements."

All the foals at Springborg Stud are now born, and all the mares are on pasture. It is a beautiful group of mares and foals grazing in the field. All this year's foal are black! Here is an overview of the foals we have had this year:

Springborgs Guyana by Furst Romancier turns 3 years this summer. She has been ridden in the spring and have enjoyed the last 6 weeks on pasture together with Springborgs Dancing Queen
and her foal. Guyana has since been inseminated with the stallion Bretton Woods. The embryo was
subsequently washed out and over to Dancing Queen, which has just been scanned in foal. We
expect the surrogate mother, Dacing Queen, to foal the 27th March 2013.

In the last weekend in April Kathrine Springborg was to the 2nd qualification forthe Championship of Copenhagen in dressage. Kathrine had a great Saturday with a super ride in a L class on the 5 years old Florencio son, Springborgs Actionman which resulted in a victory with 69,4%.
Sunday Kathrine rode the 7 years old May Candeloro in a M class. The competition was a little tougher in this class, but a good result of 68.3%, which resulted in a position as No. 7.

Finally the first foal has arrived at Springborg Stud! The 26th March we got a black colt by Blue Hors Don Olymbrio - Swarovski - De Niro. We have been extra excited about this offspring because this is Don Olymbrios first year of foals. Some foals by him has already arrived in Denmark, and it looks very well. We are also very pleased with our foals. Already the first few days, he shows good uphill tendency and nice gains. We are looking forward to show him later on this summer. 5 years old Springborgs Actionman won a L class in the Copenhagen Cup at Vallensbæk Ridingcenter with the result of 69.4%. After the first round they are now in the lead.

Recently came the very sad news about Dancing Hits dead. We feel with the
owner Højagergaard and all farmers, who had been looking forward to see the stallion to the Danish Warmblood Stallion Election in Herning and use him in the coming season.
We are looking forward to carry on his genes to the offspring, as we are expecting in May from Springborgs Acacie. We think that it is so exciting to see his first offsprings.
